I am Saloni Riya, the designer of SLONI. Growing up as the daughter of a working artist, I spent my childhood immersed in exploring my creativity, always tinkering with my mothers’ tools, paints, clays, all the small bits and pieces found in her workspace. Fast forward twenty years, I pursued a Bachelor's of Science in Visual Communications from the School of Design at San Francisco State University.
I am formally trained in UX/UI and web design, but I explore all realms of design; including furniture design, fashion, digital art, and metalworking. The core of my work is passion and dedication in uplifting other creatives and my ability to communicate across mediums has led me to approach projects with attention to detail, understanding, and ultimately, execution. As well as intentionally positioning work to up-cycle, integrate living nature in the products, and source environmentally conscious materials.
