Curated looks that are historically significant to the mass displacement of Indian people following the slave trade which led to Indo-Islander culture. For this project, I extensively researched Indian garment history in 6 different regions of India: Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, West Bengal as well as central India. Every look is heavily researched with culturally specific details that represent different regions of India; highlighting the magnitude of people from different corners and cultures of India who were taken as slaves.
